Apple iOS Software Updates Readme

The files located in this directory contain the iOS, Firmware, and Baseband software updates for the Apple devices listed (as sub folders). Typically, there may be more than one file in each of the subfolders, as there may be multiple versions of the IPSW file available for download from this server. Pick the latest version. To install the IPSW updates onto your Apple iDevice, simple copy the IPSW file into the iTunes iDevice software updates folder using the guide below.

File locations in your iTunes library (default setup):
- For Mac OS X 10.5 - 10.7:
  - iPhone updates live in: ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
  - iPod updates live in: ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
  - iPad updates live in: ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates

- For Windows XP / Server 2003, R2:
  - iPhone updates live in: \Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
  - iPod updates live in: \Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
  - iPad updates live in: \Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
(username is your profile username directory)

- For Windows Vista / 7 / Server 2008, R2:
  - iPhone updates live in: \Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
  - iPod updates live in: \Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
  - iPad updates live in: \Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
